HEAD OF FINANCE (m/f/x)

JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced HEAD OF FINANCE to join our team at COLORS. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, budget planning, accounting, and compliance. Your expertise and strategic thinking will contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The Head of Finance will:

  • Manage the budget and forecast planning processes including the balance sheet and cash flow (integrated planning), create deviation analyzes and catalogs of measures and define business KPIs to control COLORS.
  • Be responsible for the corporate finance area (financing / liquidity management, capital structure, financing mix and public subsidies).
  • Own the management of the areas of accounting and controlling, taxes and compliance and design our commercial processes and systems.
  • Be responsible for the preparation of monthly, annual and special financial statements according to HGB (German GAAP) as well as regular reporting to founders & shareholders.
  • Ensure the further development of the finance department both professionally and personally and act as the main contact for external stakeholders (investors, tax consultants, auditors).
  • Work closely with all departments at regular intervals and are a sparring partner for all economic issues (with direct report to the CEO).

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

  • You have 5 years of recent managerial experience working at an early-stage start-up and venture-backed company, preferably series A and up.
  • You have experience working at a company within the music and / or media business
  • You have experience partnering with creative business owners who will be relying on your expertise to level up their business and finance knowledge.
  • You hold a degree in Finance or in a related field, or adequate further training with appropriate professional experience.
  • You can look back on several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, investment banking or auditing – ideally with some management experience.
  • You have excellent knowledge of the various accounting standards according to HGB (CFA and IFRS knowledge is desirable) as well as of DATEV or other common accounting and controlling software solutions.
  • You have very good knowledge of MS Office and, if applicable, ERP systems and can convince with relevant experience in German tax matters.
  • You are fluent in German and English (French is a plus) with excellent written and oral communication skills and can act as an important interface to internal and external stakeholders (such as investors) thanks to your absolute confidence in dealing with numbers, a precise and careful way of working.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR (m/f/x)

JOB OVERVIEW

COLORS has succeeded in building a platform that has created a space for creatives to share their art and vision. We’re currently searching for a CREATIVE DIRECTOR to join our Creative department in helping to create cohesiveness within our visual output. You will work closely with our Creative Partnerships team, as well as our Long Form, Live, and Content Production teams to assist in conceptualising, developing, and defining our creative productions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The Creative Director will support in:

  • Leadership: Leading multidisciplinary projects from early strategic definition to launch, working across brand, experiential design, and development.
  • Conceptualizing, developing, and defining creative productions: Overseeing and leading conversations internally as well as externally in line with our objectives and company values.
  • Collaboration and onboarding: Collaborating with external partners, such as directors, art directors, producers, and designers, to ensure their work aligns with the company’s objectives and values. Integrate and onboard external resources in projects when necessary.
  • Communication and reporting: Participate in day-to-day communications and establish strong partnerships/engagement with stakeholders. Keeping other leads and management up to date with all necessary information.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment: Encourage creativity, innovation, and collaboration among departments. Oversee and mentor junior creatives as needed.
  • Staying up to date with cultural trends: Ensuring brand and content relevancy over market changes and approaching new outlets and scopes of content. Championing the brand with consistency, ensuring cohesive brand expression.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has 7+ years demonstrated experience as a Creative Director or in a similar role in the music, media or entertainment industry.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and is extremely organized.
  • Can multitask and work on various projects simultaneously.
  • Has excellent experience in Adobe Suite, building and presenting pitches.
  • Is used to working to hard deadlines and stays calm under pressure.
  • Is a team player and a trusted and respected colleague.
  • Has experience in working in and working accordingly with a global team on different projects & timezones.
  • Has excellent communication skills in English, other languages a plus.
  • Has an interest & passion for culture and is attuned to both the COLORS brand and wider landscape of music, culture, apparel and lifestyle.

SENIOR VIDEO EDITOR (m/f/x)

JOB OVERVIEW

COLORS has succeeded in building a platform that has created a space for creatives to share their art and vision. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced SENIOR VIDEO EDITOR to lead our Post Production team and ensure a clinical roll out of our creative content. You will be the main point of contact for our Post Production process and be responsible for ensuring the smoothest communication between Post Production & our Artist Relations & Platforms teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The Senior Video Editor will support in:

  • Editing: Manage the editing process of all A COLORS SHOW related content including managing our team of editors & freelancers, delegating appropriately to ensure all work is covered.
  • Coordination: Be responsible for ensuring a smooth roll out of the entire Post Production process including video & audio.
    • File Management: ensure all files are double checked & accessible to the team.
    • Post Production Workflow: manage the workflow by tracking progress on Monday.com and ensure all deadlines are met, taking into consideration some tight turnarounds.
    • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the Artist Relations team to ensure smooth communication and asset delivery to artist teams.
    • Team Management: Track and manage Post Production schedules, keeping the Head of Department up to date.
  • Onboarding: Onboard any new Editors/Freelancers to the Post-Production ecosystem.
  • Data Quality: Review content and highlight any technical issues/errors to the Head of Department & team, assisting in the smooth running of the Post Production process.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has demonstrated 5+ years experience in Production & Post-Production.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and is extremely organized.
